Fire Safety Inspections

Fire safety is an extremely important part of maintaining any building, but is sadly, in many cases, put aside or ignored and lives therefore put at risk.

The NSW Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulation 2000 requires that “The owner of a building, to which an essential fire safety measure is applicable, is required to maintain each essential fire safety measure in the building.

Failure to comply with this legislation can lead to significant fines and possibly serious legal consequences for those responsible.

AUSFIRE compliance services can help you with inspecting any applicable fire safety measure installed within the building and also prepare the required Annual Fire Safety Statement and/or Councils’ Fire Safety Certificate (The old Form 15A).

Some of the fire safety measures include, but are not limited to:

Portable Fire Extinguishers
Fire rated door sets
Emergency lighting
Fire hose reels
Solid core doors
Smoke alarms
Fire blankets
Fire dampers
Heat alarms
Fire hydrant systems
Air conditioning shut down systems
Automatic Fire detection systems
Automatic sprinkler systems
Mechanical handling systems
Emergency warning & intercom systems
General sprinkler systems
Smoke exhaust system
Paths of travel to exits
Fire pump-sets
Exit signs
Evacuation plans
